Velkommen til 6. Juli-Dagene 2019

Come join The Days of the 6th of July in Fredericia and sense the pulse of history on the 4th, the 5th and the 6th of July 2019 where the town is filled with experiences for everyone!

During the days of the 6th of July, the town of Fredericia marks the historic Battle of Fredericia, fought on the 6th of July 1849. Insurgents from Schleswig-Holstein had besieged Fredericia for several months when the Danish army finally succeeded in beating them to take flight. The Battle of Fredericia is one of the best-known Schleswig Wars and is said to be the first nightly military sortie made from fortifications.

In the street Kirkestræde we turn back time – have a taste of street-food as in 1849, visit nice old-time stalls, the coffee and tea room and be a part of various kinds of entertainment and activities for children and adults, such as street theatre, singers, musicians and much more.

On The Ramparts Fredericia Vold, you can experience a genuine soldiers camp. There will be concerts, cannon salutes and the Jazz Festival will once again set well sounding tones. All of which will bring you in just the right 6th of July-spirit.
